Hi Jim.

That's not possible -- fan page content is open to all, including people who aren't on Facebook.

Hi, one of my friends had commented on another friend's link and it is published on his profile under recent activities as "...... commented on ....'s link". This is viewed by others but not me. When I check his profile I cannot see it. Does that mean that it is possible to restrict some of recent activities to specific people?

Okay, I just did a test (don't ask me why I didn't do it before my previous answer) and confirmed that when you prevent a friend from seeing certain types of content going forward, s/he can't see content of that type from earlier postings anymore either. I tested it with Status and Links and Wall Photos and it worked that way with both settings.

Thanks for your comment, AJ. I'm pretty sure once you block someone from seeing a certain type of content, it includes previously published stuff, but I'm going to have to do some testing to be certain. But it seems like there would be a lot of logic involved in determining when someone was blocked and then if they're unblocked for a while, etc. The new features that are coming will supposedly make it easier to determine exactly what invidual piece of content anyone will be able to see. I'll be posting about it once it's live and I've had a chance to check it out.
Re. your other point, I guess it depends what they block you on. But I get your point that it's one thing when you invite someone to be a friend vs. accepting someone else's invitation, which would make sense that you might want to restrict what that person can see.

So helpful!!! Thank you.
Question: I'd like to hide new wall photos, links and status updates from a group of people, but I don't want them to lose access to previous content (wall photos, links and status updates previously posted). Is this possible? If so, how?
Also, and this is totally random, but I think it's rude when people friend you and then block you - what's the point?
