I actually mentioned this as an option in an earlier post, Finding the Pages You Administer on Facebook, but am bumping it up as its own tip, because it applies to any Pages you want to keep track of, whether you administer them or not.
I'm a fan of 42 Pages on Facebook and I suspect I'm not alone in being really interested in only a subset of those. And the ones I'm most interested may be different at different times. For example, I'm a fan of The Travel Program of WWF-US. I generally gloss over their updates in my News Feed but if I was planning a vacation where I wanted to incorporate some wildlife viewing, I might want to actually visit their page on a regular basis to see what they have going on.
You can always get to a list of all the Pages you're a fan of by going to www.facebook.com/pages and clicking the My Pages link at the top of the page. However, the list only shows 10 Pages at a time so, depending where the specific Page is in the list, you may have to click through several screens to get to the link. (I have NO idea what order these are displayed in. Based on my list, it's not alphabetical, it's not based on when you became a fan, and it's not based on the number of fans they have.)
An easier way to quickly see what's up with a specific Page is to create a Friend List that only includes that Page. Here's how to do that.
Note: You can also use these steps if you want to be able to find recent posts from individual friends more quickly.
- On your home page, click the Create New List link at the bottom of the list of filters in the left-hand column. You may have to click a More link first, to see the Create one. A window pops up that lists all your friends and Pages you're a fan of in alphabetical order.
- Give your list a name, then scroll down to the Page and click it to select it. You can also start typing a name into the text box at the top and it will filter the list to show you only those people/Pages that match what you entered.

- Click the Create List button.
The window will close and your News Feed will now show you only the posts from that Page. Anytime you want to see them again, simply click on that filter. You can also click on the Page name to go directly to the Page to see other content they've posted.

Note: When you create a new friend list, it goes to the bottom of the list of filters. Facebook used to let you drag them up and down to reorder the lists how you wanted them, but that functionality seems to have disappeared. Hopefully they'll bring it back at some point. Meanwhile, if you click the Friends link at the top of the Page, the lists appear in alphabetical order. Yet again, Facebook's mastery of Bad Interface Design shines bright.
