Discovered the fix for this by accident. The "Facebook for iPhone" app was blocked (somehow).
1. Create a custom friend list
2. Go to the news feed for this list
3. Scroll to the bottom, and click EDIT OPTIONS (you will get a different window than if you click EDIT OPTIONS in the bottom of your regular/main News Feed list)
4. In the pop-up window remove "Facebook for iPhone" from the list
5. Voila, you should now be able to see the updates that your friends post from their iPhones

Ever since one of the recent FB "improvements" none of my status updates with links show up anywhere except on my own profile page (Neither on friends pages, nor on Live/News Feeds). I've tried all the "usual suspects." Any suggestions? Was starting to take it personally that no one was responding to my posts :-).

I accidentally hid all the posts made by people using the "Facebook for iPhone" application and every time I open the "Edit Options" link at the bottom it only gives me the option to hide/show friends... NOT posts made using a certain application. I use that application to post ALL my status updates, photos, etc... and now MY posts wont even show up on my home page (I'm in "Live Feed")! Is there any way to get those back?

Thank you for helping me figure out a) where everyone went and b) how to get them back! :) I'm glad I've found this blog -- I'll keep following it in the future.
