With the relaunch of this blog on WordPress, you may have noticed a sudden infusion of yellow to the color scheme. As I mentioned in my earlier post, when I made the move, I chose Thesis for my new theme. Well, turns out I liked it so much, I bought the company!
Okay, not really. But I did like it so much I joined the Thesis Affiliate Program, which means if anybody buys the theme through T4L, I'll get a commission from the sale (there's no additional cost to the buyer).
So what's so great about Thesis? Here are just a few of the benefits. (More available on the DIYthemes website.)
- Offers extraordinary flexibility for customizing your blog design
- Code has built-in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) capabilities
- Has THE most helpful support forums I've ever seen
Now, having said all that, Thesis does have a fairly steep learning curve so I'm also offering anyone who buys the theme through T4L a free Starter Pack. The offer applies whether you purchase a Personal Option, a Developer Option, or an upgrade from Personal to Developer.
The eGuide includes straightforward explanations of the basic concepts, step-by-step instructions for working with Thesis, and code samples for some of the most commonly requested customizations (including adding a clickable header—something that really shouldn't need special instructions, but unfortunately it does...)
I'm also going to be adding I've also added a special section to Tech for Luddites (Tech for Thuddites!) especially for Thesis users and I'm in the process of creating I've created a Thesis e-newsletter that will give subscribers access to even more helpful hints for working with the theme. So stay tuned!
In the meantime, learn more about what's in the Starter Pack and how to get a copy for yourself. If you've already bought Thesis from somewhere else, you can purchase the Starter Pack for $9.95.

Hi, Elizabeth! I've purchased a personal copy of Thesis many moons ago -- love it! -- and I'd like to upgrade a to the Developer's package so I can use it with other blogs. Do you get a commission if I do that through your site? Not being nosy -- just want you to benefit from my purchase! :-) And would an upgrade purchase count toward your starter pack?
Hi Diana.
Yes and yes! I will get the commission for an upgrade and you will then get the Starter Pack for free. Thanks for letting me know that's not clear on the page -- I'll definitely update it.
And thanks so much for your support!
