I really just want the image and NO teaser text at all (also, for some reason, I can't configure my teaser settings... I went to the Design Options -> Teasers and I don't know why but even after deselecting things and saving, it STILL shows the headline, the author, the date, the number of comments [Ive disallowed them, so 0] and the category...

...very frustrated...

Are you using the resize fields to set a smaller size for the thumbnail?

I think there are WordPress plugins that will look for the first image in a post and let you use that as your teaser image, but I don't know a specific one off the top of my head. Otherwise, I'm afraid you may have to manually enter the URL into the thumbnail field for your imported posts.

Also, when I follow these steps, the image becomes gargantuan on my post.

My teasers are not showing any images at all. I transferred 700 posts from Blogger. Do I have to figure out and put in the URL for every single image/photo?

It depends on how your page is set up. I recommend you test both and go with the one you like better. That's one of the great things about Thesis -- quick and easy way to test things out without screwing up all your code.

Would the post image be "Below headline" or "Before post/page content" if I want it just above the text of a post?

Set the default positioning using the Thesis Options > Thesis Options > Post Images and Thumbnails. Then you just have to enter the image URL in the field for each individual post (you would leave the thumbnail image field blank). Your default settings will apply, but you can override them on a case-by-case basis.

Does that make sense?

What if I want across the board that the "main" post image is positioned center after the headline? And this image is used as the thumbnail in the teaser and looks like the example you gave? What do I do?
